@mistacorn
Will there be a save/load function?
In the current 3.0 Beta still miss this feature.
Its frustrating if i need to total start over :(
What changes in version 3.0.1 from 3.0?

Edit:
Forget the changelog :)
I watched only at patreon, so i didnet found it.
For a simple 0.0.1 Version Update it seams to add a lot of stuff.
When will i get the version as 10+ Patreon?

I'm torn with the save feature. Under the hood, the game is very much shaped by the decisions you make in that particular play-though. Having a save feature means a player can simply save before each decision and then roll-back, which I feel may detract from gameplay and give users a very easy way to cheat. The play-through length of the game is not very long to begin with, and I am not making the storylines so intertwined this time through, I am making it more geared toward taking one of many paths each playthrough. You basically have your choice of which girls you want to pursue, and the way the story is written this time around, you won't be able to get every girl in one playthrough. You essentially have to focus on one (or two in some cases) per playthrough. Going down one path will cut off other paths, so rolling back to a save-point won't allow you go back and choose the "right" decision because either way, you're cutting yourself off from *some* path. If you make a wrong move that cuts you off in the path you are trying to go down, it only takes a couple minutes to get back to that point. I may put out a poll once people start seeing the new gameplay structure and see if it's a much desired feature.

The version for $10+ Patrons is already available at this link:

I think in some games this is almost necessary because it can take a lot of time and tedious clicking to get back to a certain point, killing the fun of the game.

However, I think you're correct that it's not really a needed feature in HP, at least if the game play is similar to the old version.

One idea that might be worth considering is unlocking the save feature after "beating" the game once.

Yeah, even in the last public build, it was a bit of a nuisance to have to go through everything again if you screwed up, but all of the stories being intertwined is what made it take 10/15 mins to do so. The new way I am developing involves harder puzzles, so first play-through might take longer to figure them out, but once you figure out how to win over one of the girls, you should be able to retrace your steps on a fresh play in a matter of minutes. I am also including multiple "wins" with the different girls where you can end up having a different ending with them depending on how you solve the problem. In the old version, once you made it to the strip poker game, you were able to go back and replay it over and over starting from there. I will probably end up doing something similar with any endings I implement. I am working on a system now where any of the girls (assuming they are interested in you enough) can be available for a 1 on 1 session, but I will also be adding other surprises in as well, so that won't be the only type of ending.

Hey guys!

Here’s a video getting into detail on some of the upcoming engine updates to the new version of House Party! The new version will be released on or around October 15th and will be available to $25+ supporters only, and all previous versions will trickle down to the next tier. From now until the 15th, I will be adding in a bunch more story for you guys in conjunction with the engine updates you already see here! For those of you who stick it out to the end of the video, I uncover an Easter egg in the game!

Here’s the link to the video:

You might want to use save points after certain achievements in game. So if a player has to end a game session due to whatever reason (like.. wifey coming home or the dog eating a rubber ball and now has to be taken to the vet) he can restart the game at that last point without having to start completely from scratch again.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you all know that the October release of House Party is officially here! Lots of new changes in this version, and it is running very stable. This is a milestone release because I’m feeling like the engine is running very smoothly, and I can focus a lot of my time next month on details instead of painstaking under the hood stuff that you guys don’t see. Of course, I’m sure a lot of you notice the better AI, interaction, movement, and gameplay as a result of the engine work, but I know you guys are getting anxious to get more game play out of me, and we’ve gotten to the point where each new build should have a decent amount more, starting with this one!

Check out the development blog for more information about this release and the other releases that have become available:
http://games.eekllc.com/index.php/2016/ ... upporters/

The biggest feature of this new version is the Questing system, which you will be able to use to keep track of which objectives you’ve completed and not completed each play through. For an official list of playable content/quests in the game, go here:

http://forum.eekllc.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1364

This will help you keep track as to whether or not you’ve unlocked all available content. This list will be updated with each release.

If you are not a Patreon supporter, you can download the latest public build here:

I might take you up on that. One thing I am doing is working on a system that will make all game text easy to translate to other languages.
