Instead of making many more stories you should create a persistant RPG mode in which :

- You create your own chrachter (certain type, own name, type of apartment)

- You have a laptop at home and can choose from a few jobs ,
in which you interact with objects like in the fitness club
and you get money after each completed work routine,
after a couple of times your job runs out and you have to choose another
this should happen because the same job gets very boring

-Examples would be

- Metal factory : you have to pick the iron or copper or gold from the pile and put them into their right container

- Cleaning boy at the cinama : After the viewers left , the cinema is full of popcorn bags and soda cups , you have to pick them and put them in a bin , while doing this credits of a movie run
on the screen with various music OR some movie with actions scenes is running ( this should be implemented to make the job less boring)

- Worker at video rental store: You have to put movies from a carton into their right spot into their correct shelf , you see the cover , it says something kinky then you go to the porn area
and you see a empty space and you can put it there and it locks in
while doing this music runs in the background and you can see all kinds of funny things on the covers of the dvd boxes and posters on the wall

- Worker at a mine : You have to swing a pickaxe at the rocky wall and then ore pops out , and you have to put them into container

- With the money you can order a hooker , order a stripper

- You could order furniture from the internet and customize your apartment

- You can order sex toys and other things like more videos for your TV or a bigger TV or a jukebox

- You can get online and meet with girls maybe like 5-10 girls

- You can maybe get online and search for specific attributes of a girl , and this would custom generate a girl for you and then you could meet her. ( Many want custom girls)

Love the idea concept, but don't like the job ideas.
They are either too much minigame (cleaning boy, video rental) or too far away from "normal" (metal worker factory, mine).
I'd love to see jobs that you can relate more and while I don't say that miners or factory workers won't play, I guess that there will be more people relating to salesman/clerk, office worker and similar.
Sure the cleaning boy and the guy at the video rental fit that too, but I'd rather have the jobs tie in with the sex stories instead of doing minigames.

That S&M Story is a good example of what I mean, only that the whole thing could be expanded and be more flexible with your job choice

Don't get me wrong.

I do love RPG games, but such a thing is way too complex to implement in a limited time.
Especially since the XStoryPlayer is -at least at this point- very content driven, I don't think it's a good
idea for the developers to take a break from developing new content and to work on a RPG mode for
several months instead.

Maybe the developers will think about creating a standalone RPG after work on the XStoryPlayer is done
and if they feel up to that task. The experience they gather during this project will sure help.

...agree...

I really like the idea of RPG elements and gameplay however remember we are playing for the sex not to manage money or mini-games so every "job" should itself offer some chance at a (or at multiple) sex encounter(s).
Go to job, try to hit on boss and/or customer (not JUST do boring tasks).
What makes an RPG fun is options and interaction...
To borrow from the OP, a job at a movie rental store (do these even exist anymore?) could have you interacting with different characters on different work days... you know to keep you coming back to work ;)
1) A lazy boss always hiding in her office. How do you get with her? Flirt and kiss up (nice), hide a video camera and catch her masturbating in the office and then blackmail her (naughty), or try to softly play with her after close when she has fallen asleep in her office again (?)...
2) A naive young co-worker. How do you get her?
and then imagine special job encounters, sort of one off events that might happen...
one day you catch a customer being very inappropriate in the adult section and you decide to punish her since she left you a mess to clean up.

That would be a better game job then putting items in bins!

That sort of job could have you playing only the job and you'd get your fun... or maybe you don't care about the jobs and you want to just try seduce the dating site girls, also cool.

I would also like to see the 'life sim' aspect developed, as long as the focus is still on the story and sex. The gym cleanup, for example, can be really tedious. I would prefer to stay away from things like that, which are a bit time consuming. Focus on the fun parts, and don't make people actually work within the game, beyond some very limited stuff.

But yeah, the more depth that can be given to the RPG sections of the game, the better! There is a HUGE wealth of gameplay that could be added that would help here...sky is the limit, really.

Waiter at a restaurant, Barkeeper at a bar/club would also work nice. Charm up the office lady that comes to the restaurant each evening after work, take advantage of the drunken party chicks, manage their alcohol level just enough for them to open up, without knocking them out (or add the sometimes requested rape story with too much booze ^^)...lots of possibilities

I'm not sold on an RPG-style setup whereby users accrue money via menial, repetitive tasks and then spend said money on gym workouts and clothing to boost artificial stats. I think it adds an unnecessary layer of complexity and shifts focus onto material items rather than the use of one's wits. I'd rather focus on the development of branching storylines with multiple conquests, some obvious and some hidden. This would both lengthen storylines and add some sense of replayability. It's not that I'm against menial tasks - the gym, while boring, was great for building up a sense of anticipation - it's just that they should be used for pacing rather than monetary gain.

One possible scenario would be a trial position at a large company. You'd have your day-to-day tasks for pacing, but these could vary slightly as your character is shown the ins and outs of how the company operates (alternatively, you could skip the tasks and show an appropriate comment in the internal monologue before being left to wander about). By exploring different areas of the building at different times, you could meet up with a variety of NPCs - cleaners, secretaries, saleswomen, clients etc - and through charm, deception or plain lending a hand, you "conquer" them. Your actions should have some effect on which branch you take and thus which NPCs you meet. For example, performing well at task A could impress your boss, who then invites you to join him/her for a meeting with an influential (and sex crazed) client. Or perhaps you could take a peek at a colleague's MSN messenger and spy a scandalous thread about two lovers meeting for a quickie in the janitor's closet (who you could then watch or blackmail). Regardless, at some point the scenario comes to an end - you don't fail, it just reaches it's natural conclusion. You don't have time to explore every possible encounter, but you should be satisfied once or twice along the way.

The point being, you should have an overriding narrative with multiple outcomes in which you have to apply a little thought rather than... well, grinding (in the non-sexual sense!).

Honestly, that's what I thought the game would be when it was finished - Kind of a persistent RPG that makes it a little more challenging to get into an NPC's pants than the average sex game.

I don't know about the grinding... It does make sense to do something with the time and skipping ahead all the time may be just a little too 'boring', so maybe every now and then something 'out of the ordinary' might happen that makes you play a minigame and other than that it skips to the end of the shift?

But the general idea (start off with this, make money, change your character [to a degree], find girls, work towards getting it on with them and have them react to what you do [cheating, for example, or simply being inappropriate early on]) is something that hasn't really been done before, at least not in a 3D environment (if anybody knows an example of this that is NOT a flash game like Simgirls AND/OR contains sex as a fully-fledged feature rather than a bonus, I'd look forward to being proven wrong).

As far as I'm concerned, the stories are nice and all and I guess the game can still be considered a milestone in the genre when the current set of features has been polished and expanded, but I am really hoping that they won't make more than maybe five or six stories total and then go in this direction, cause that's what most people have been looking forward to for years and nobody has delivered anything even close to that up until now.

That is, an RPG of sorts with some stats, in a 3D environment, several characters to choose from and even more to romance (mostly randomly generated, I guess - obviously, you would have to be able to choose both your sex and that of your partners), with sex as a main feature but also romancing and some 'relationship persistence' as a focus.
Basically a relationship simulator that doesn't suck and that doesn't force you into this stereotype or that, this kinky sex story or that, but allows you some freedom to do something in between, if you want.
Oh, and as for an overarching narrative - that would be great and I'm a big fan of that, but it should be optional, cause that's almost always connected to some limitations, mostly time limits, so there should also be a sandbox mode where you could romance and ditch as many people as you want for as long as you want. And no, that's not the same as a "Fast Sex" option, cause persistence makes a hell of a difference.

I'd love to read a developer comment on this and how viable a (partial?) implementation would be.

Edit: I just read the Curvy Girls, "Campaign Mode" thread. That sounds more or less like what I was looking for, although I hope that it will be much more than 'just' a big city screen to choose the stories from (as opposed to a menu screen to choose from).

The concept of a "Campaign mode" is indeed how what we finally want to make the game into.

But we are a small team and development takes a lot of time, so we want to work towards the "ideal" product by several releases that gradually work towards the final product.

Also the forum helps us a lot in finding out what people like/dislike in the game, and because of it we are now first focusing more on the characters responses.

Also opening the script and textures, movies so people can add there own content to some degree is what we want to do.

But again we are a small team, so it make some time before all is in there.
