I think a few of the latest posts misinterpreted xpadmin's reply at the top of this page. Judging by what he/she said at first:

This is the main reason that the focus is on the male character for now. It is a lot of work creating a good looking and well animated character.
And most of our users (I think) want the emphasis on the female (appearance and physics) in the game.

That being said, in 3.0, we will be able to set the camera position/orientation, so while we will still be controlling the guy, we can see it from the girl's POV!
