Well, there are rumors that the Vive will enter the market before the end of the year. It also seems to be more precise and the FOV might be larger than that of the rift...
Another thing i like is: NO CAMERA NEEDED, the device knows its vector in space by receiving laser pulses from two laser sources placed in the corners of a room.
And last but not least its NOT from FB! I really do not like information trading companies like them... The camera used by the rift scares me even more with the knowledge that FB might have access to it...

Is HTCVr support planed?

If HTC/Valve has people with brains they will make it easy to port all the rift games to their glasses.....I hope.

True story! But as history tells us, every big company thinks their api is the one and only right way to do stuff...

A unified VR API should be the way to go, something like opengl for 3d should be developed for vr devices...
I see - its a long way to go until vr becomes what it should.

Thats true, but one of the key factors for them will be the number of games supported. Nobody is going to buy it if there isn't any games out that support it. And no, one or two valve titles wont be enough.

If HTC Vive has reasonable amount of users it will be supported.

The OR so far has not really proved to be a game changer.
Meaning the amount of users is somewhat lower than was expected (Also the whole Fb thing did not help).

I hope the success of the OR and other similar devices will take off when the customer edition is launched.
This will also make it more worthwhile to invest time in supporting them.

OK~
I have to say I have HTC Vive And Oculus DK2

Their difference is HTC Vive require more Space to put 2 Different sensors On the Room
They need to Create the Motion sensing。

It's more like XBOX One Kinect

Thx DK2 for now only need The one sensors on the Top of the screen

I have to say DK2 is batter and easy to use (for now)

The Oculus next version is all ready for sell

So HTC Vive is not good enough to Play any game
(if you want to running in your room just for the game)

I can't answer Anything about HTC Vive

But for me it's too stupid for use that

HTC Vive with the sensors and good handkontrollers not x-box gamepad looks were good and for this game it should be optimal. The sensors you can put close so you can site, then it will se what you do with you hand and so if i understod it correct.
