 fps/performance issues and crashes

Sorry, read over the specs you already posted.

Let me know if you find a way to increase the CPU performance, to help other users with same issue.

it seems the game demands the cpu correctly, SO my cpu clocks itself up to 2.7GHZ. while game game still displays 2.3.

but the game seems to share the cpu speeds...

if i lock the game to 1 cpu, it uses that 1 cpu to 90-100%. solid 30 fps!
if i lock the game to 2 cpu's, it uses both at around 45-55%
if i lock the game to 3 cpu's, it uses the 1st at 25% second at 55% and third at 35%... very strange.
if i allow the use of all 4 cpu's all 4 jump between 20 and 51%

at all stages the game shows 29-31 fps.

The way the threads are distributed over the CPU's is decided by the OS.

well im stumped.

I have done some tests measuring the GPU usage and it normal sitting at around 50% while the game is still sitting at around 40 fps :(

I don't know why Im stuck on low amounts of both CPU and GPU usage while the game wont go any higher! its s weird...

i guess ill start doing some research for now...

summery:
Both CPU and GPU usage at ~50% while game struggling to get 40 fps.

It could be that transferring the data from and internal memory prevents the CPU from reaching higher framerates.

im not sure i understand... could you explain more?

also could you tell me what all the things are at the top left?

im guessing its:
FPS (cpu/gpu)
GPU-fps
CPU-fps
?????
cpu power(this shows wrong numbers, so im wonder if i can edit this.)

More on the frame parameters can be found here:

The CPU speed is the speed the system says it has, this could very well differ from the speed when over-clocking.

What I mean is that not only the CPU determines the processing speed. The CPU fetches the data from memory (using the bus). If that fetching takes longer than the actual instruction (for example adding) then the CPU is not used optimally. So that is why the CPU is not reaching 100%.

thanks for your help so far, Im still researching at the moment.
I have found out that i am able to force the game to emulate faster but I'm not going to use that.

the game dosen't seem to pick up that my system is now at 2.7GHZ which is MORE than enough yet it sits there at 30% cpu usage still.

Im still researching but Im really annoyed that THIS is the first game this laptop has not been able to play at 60fps, its just silly.

update:
i have been messing about with my system and have only manages a minor cpu:fps increase.

while i was doing some more testing i noticed some gpu fps issues, at some angles my GPU:fps can be 350+ but at other angles it can drop to <40.


I can now get a somewhat stable 40-50 cpu:fps but sometimes it goes above 50 sometimes dips below 40...
to get this I had to increase my cpu's performance to 2.7GHZ.

here a new screenshot showing the games erratic cpu usage even while idle.
(i left the game idle for over 5 mins before taking this screen cap)
