Thank you for taking the time to read this message any offer any suggestions.

I'm wondering if there is any possible way which I can get an alternate payment method for XSP.

I have played the demo (And I confess, a pirated version) and I truly think the game is exceptional for what it's trying to do and where it's going.

I want to purchase the game to help out the developers, and so that I can have a 'leg-up' so to speak, when V3.0 comes out.

Now, onto my problem.

I have no credit card, and don't want to apply for one. I do have paypal, but obviously paypal isn't supported. I HAD a visa Gift Card which should have worked, but unfortunately it was restricted to transations in the USA only and since the ccbill is outside the US, it wouldn't go through.

I'm hoping someone else has some ideas, or an alternate means of purchasing (And no, I will not use my bank account).

Thanks,
Regards,
-MA-

Hey there

I bought my copy using paysafecard. You can get them everywhere here in Germany for example at gas stations etc, should be the same in the States.
It's pretty simple and you don't need any bank account information because it's prepaid.

Cheers

I use a Prepaid Travel Mastercard. Whenever I want to buy something with a "credit card" I just pop into my bank account and transfer enough money into the card itself. Got mine for like 6 bucks a year. But this is in Canada and I don't know if you can do that at whatever bank you use. But you should be able to find some variation of it. It's not a credit card, but acts like one in terms of payment. There is no line of credit at all and you never run the risk of spending what you don't have. :)

For your information:

Paypal does not allow any kind of adult sales. This is probably why X Moon doesn't support it. Might be a good idea to just apply for a Mastercard Debit or something (in Europe it's typically Mastercard Debit you get as regular banking cards). These work with CCBill.

BTW, no other wallet system supports adult transactions. The reason is the pretty strict laws of the US which, unfortunately, seems to govern the entire world regardless of the fact that the US economy is not anywhere near the most stable one.

Anyway. The wallet systems like Paypal and Skrill WILL freeze any funds made on adult transactions. I tried it myself. So that's why.

In short, buy it like the rest of us do, or forget it. ;)

We have had PayPal when we first launched XStoryPlayer. After 2 days it was blocked and sales were frozen.
It took 6 months before it was paid out.

So this is why we cannot offer PayPal. Their TOS does not allow any activity related to DIGITAL sexual content.
Apparently it is allowed to sell content like porn videos as long as they are on DVD or another media, but not digital.

Probably because otherwise shops like Walmart would get into trouble. So it is a pretty hypocritical company in this regard.

I believe it was started by a lawsuit in which the claimer argued that it was unfair that PayPal did allow porn but not allowed gifts to charity.
So they banned porn instead of allowing gifts for charity, to avoid bad publicity in the USA.

Hi,

i was about buying a paysafe card. As google says 60 usd are about 48,20 Eur. So OK, lets get a Paysafe 50. I had a quick look on CCBil and they charge 50,62 Eur... Thats really a mess! Not because its a little more expensive, its just the 0,62 above the limit. If you pay something with more then one paysafecard, their homepage says it is limited to 30 Eur.
Source: ( https://www.paysafecard.com/de-de/lp-pr ... einloesen/ )
So i cant buy a 50 + 5 Card. The only way to pledge 60usd with psc is to buy a psc 100 which leaves me with 49,38 Eur wasted value...

Its the same with the 40 USD gap (33,75 EUR) and the 120 USD gap (101,24 EUR).

That leaves me with to only Option for buying a psc 20 and waste 3,13 Eur, which is acceptable.

You see the gaps are a bad pick, isnt it possible to let the user decide how much he/she pledges? I think you would be fair enough to give the 60 gap if someone pledges 50 eur ;)

How is pledging with psc done? Could somebody please explain this to me?

idk about the whole "paysafe card" idea for us Americans. From what I've read its not allowed. First thing that comes up on google is a thread about a dude loosing his vpn because technically he logging in from overseas. We have the same thing here except they're green dot visa, American express and mastercards, you can get these at most gas stations, super markets, pharmacies, walmarts ect. but these are governed by the same local laws to avoid illegal markets which find a way anyway. So much like DRM on a PC version of a game, the only people it hurts is the consumers. The ones who already plan on breaking the law will do so any other way. its an unfortunate truth, but were just going to have to think like criminals if we want the game. I know we have alot of people on this forum on that side of the ocean, there are a few people here I'd trust with my hard earned shitty green paper.

Basically this is the system for buying what you cant have because our country is full of backwoods retards.

Person-A Is in the unfortunate position of living here in the us, he wants to buy a game from the uk with his PayPal.

Person-B A jolly German who also has a PayPal account. He wants the game and but can't really afford it at the moment.

Together they will both be happy.

Person-person A pays person B the cost of the game and a little extra for his kindness. They use paypal and for the payment note he just writes "For services rendered" That safegaurds person B from "stop payment" scammers because it implies the work was satisfactory at the time of payment to justify payment.

Person B pays for the game and forwards the download email to person A.
Person B buys the game for a few people this way and his game is paid in full. I'd assume since the game has an account manager it also has a HWID to prevent multiple computers from downloading another copy after the first is registered.

This method of exchanging currency overseas always works. It's not a huge purchase so paypal wont think twice if you write "services rendered" as reason for payment. Your not lying he did render you a service. "services rendered" can be anything from digitally enhancing photos, tutoring you in German over skype, or any other freelance "independent contractor" work. in this case the "service" just happened to be him using his browser for 5 minutes then Forwarding you an email.

I've dealt with a few people this way back in my hackforums days when good unsaturated encryption cost big for script kiddies like myself. Rule of thumb was to always consider it money lost and the few times they do rob you your not shocked or disappointment lol. I'd say your best bet would be trusted members of this small community. Pickled cow, modderman, friendly, meem ect. I'm not sure who lives where, or who is willing or able but someone who posts often and plans on being a member of this community is likely your best bet. Either that or one of your steam friends.

That is not an option. If there is no easy and anonymous way to donate - I wont donate.
PSC sure will be available for buying after the release, so i have to wait for that to happen.

Thx for clearing the situation.
