Has anyone considered that the problem might not be the mouse but the ram of his pc?

The skipping and jumping would be a symptom that his hardware isn't up for the task, true.

To OP: What's your computer's specs?

I can only repeat that it's a problem exclusive to xmoon. and the machine is as new as the mouse. described as a 'monster-machine to monster-price' or somesuch. Titan Z, hightower.

the last version of XSP had look sensitivity. This version probably does as well. If your using a super high dpi mouse you may want to try turning that down so the game isn't trying to speed up your already fast mouse movements. also use your graphics program to set up a profile for just this game. make sure anything related to allowing the program to use mouse acceleration is turned off. Hope that helps
