It is hard for me to advice anyone on this. And the issue could still be caused by a software bug.

But because we did not get many reports on this (2 for now) and because the issue occurs after a some time and is not related to a specific action, my gut feeling says it could be a hardware issue.

Thanks Xpadmin.

hmm I found some different results with 3.0 when I changed the renderer to opengl. I dont quite remember but it is an idea you can try.

modify a line in settings.ini to
rendermode = OPENGL; // Can be 'OPENGL' or 'DIRECTX'

Please let us know if this helped somehow.

@loki

Good point. Always smart to try different render mode to see if that helps!

Thanks Loki for your idea but I am afraid that it did not work. I am beginning to think that it maybe as Xpadmin said a power issue. I've just noticed that my computer is not giving me a beep in post. I think I may try a larger psu and see what happens!

Thanks again!

Crazywolfrider tried downloading hw-monitor http://download.cpuid.com/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.27.exe and have it running when you play then alt-tab out to check heat on CPU, Motherboard and GPU.
If CPU go over 65-70C, GPU over 100C you need better cooling.

If it looks like hw lie trie older version, like it say CPU 144C or so.

Corsair 750 should be powerful enough.

Hi Skidrow,
thanks for directing me to HW-Monitor & I did as you said, run the game & alt-tab to check, the cpu didn't go above 45c,MB was 37c and the gpu didn't go above 50c. I run the game until it crashed (approx. 4 mins) but the computer never got "hot". I think it maybe a power issue as when I turn my computer on or reset, it used to beep to say the power was ok, now it doesn't. I'll find out in a few days as I have ordered a new Corsair 1200w psu. I see if that does the trick! :)

Thanks for your help again! :D
