Hi Team !

I've just downloaded, installed and played about 1h with the new 3.0 version.

Things were going nice but once I've reached the plasma shift/speed stuff, the FPS went down about 17 fps.
The game is pretty unplayable as the guy is moving very slow etc.
I don't how I've done it, but I was able to see the FPS rate, and other data the top left corner of the screen, in white font and black font.
What's the shortcut to get this ?

The fps were around 17 to 20 max.

My hardware :
i7 2600K
16 GB DDR3
Geforce GTX 570
SSD

Software: Windows 8.1 64Bits.
Kaspersky Internet Security 2014
Nvidia drivers up to date : 344.75 version

Settings :
When it was working smoothly, I was on
ULTRA
Anti aliasing x4
Vsync OFF
Res : 1920x1200
Mode : DirectX

I've tried to lower the graphics to 1600x1200, Open GL, Good
without any success.

I don't know what happened for this drop of FPS.

Any thought ?

Thanks

There is an Quality option in the display settings. Setting it lower should give you a better framerate.

I run the same CPU with half the RAM, and a GTX 580, and while I haven't noticed drops that low, I have noticed that looking at the reactor and the functional doors does seem to halve my FPS from 60 to 30.

I have an i7-2600K too with 8 gb ram with an zotac gtx 560 ti amp.
My settings are ultra 1920*1080 VSync on and eight times AA.
I just ran the game and even did the plasma minigame again to watch my fps when looking at the reactors at different angles. My FPS are stable between 59.something and 60.

Hey Guys !

I've tried what you said.
It was none of that, it was just a heating problem.
I think my gfx is on safe mode while heating grows.

I tried to open my case and it seems to do the trick.
I've tried that because at the beginning it seems to be working at ultra settings and 10 minutes later, drop of fps.

So the settings on ULTRA 1920x1200, AA 8x are ok !

The temperature raised up to 100°C while playing.

Maybe that can help someone !

Anyway thanks guys :)

I believe that its the physics that is running all the time. I have 580 GTX and it runs perfectly for me. Do you have an alternative graphicscard active? On one of my PCs it choose the intregraed Intel gc instead of my primary nVidia gc and it lagged like a donkeys butt trying to escape the police through sewer water.

nope i don't have any graphic card or chipset installed or active other than the GTX 570.

I remember that I got some lags and fps drop while playing Diablo III as well six or seven months ago.

Maybe it's the same problem.
I'll try to bought a new gfx maybe next month.

Buy a AMD 770x or so, if the g-card go up to 100C then it is showing it want to go to its grave.
