VR-mate kinda has this beat now... XmoonPro style games can already be developed for Virt-a-mate with the current release tools... Only onward an upward form here. I honestly believe that the X moon team should just learn to use Virt-a-mate and re-make their stories using it...

Man I tried virt-a-mate... and I don't understand this point of view at all. I played most of their default scenarios and the NPC was always somehow anchored in place, or anchored to some slowly moving anchor point. To switch to a different position there wasn't an animation for it... you had to press a button to have it reload the scene with the NPC loaded into their new anchor spot. The actual "adult action" sequences were ridiculously easy to break. You move the camera the wrong way and suddenly the PC is dry humping her right hip rather than doggy style and his penis has withdrawn to between his own legs and seemingly attempting to crawl up his own ass. Once you break the animation... there's no way to correctly realign... everything is just broken from that point so you have to reset the scene.

xstoryplayer seems way more versatile, player-friendly, and dynamic than virt-a-mate. I would be crestfallen to see them abandon their proprietary engine approach... especially for something like virt-a-mate.

I agree that virt-a-mate has very nice soft body physics and very well done characters
but it is still no where near as versatile as XStory

The remake of my Doc story has Saiko sitting in a chair then getting up (with a brand new animation)
walking to another chair and sitting down then getting up and jumping on the exam bed (no not with her feet)
There's more custom animations depending on how you do your job

im also designing an Arousal system so you can tell with visual ques how Aroused she is
this system is also going to be added to the player

Have Saiko in the chair LEVEL LOAD have Saiko standing LEVEL LOAD have Saiko standing in doc office LEVEL LOAD have Saiko come back and bust player LEVEL LOAD

As of next month, it will have been two years since this thread was started. Two years is a long time for people to be left almost completely in the dark. I imagine 4.0 is still being worked on, and that's fine, but giving us a progress update and an estimate on just how much longer we'll have to wait, is just good practice and it would reassure the fan base that you at least have a minimum amount of care and respect for them and the project.

At this point, I imagine some of us (including myself) feel like there's no real care going into the game or us. Take 3.5, for example; as great as it is, there's no fresh content and still only two character models to use. The community of fans had to take it upon themselves to work to improve the interactions and speech system through community-made mods. And even though the story was complex, the base game is fairly simple (yes, I know it's an engine built from scratch).

I feel like some kind of "3.5.2" would work until 4.0 comes out. Perhaps a few new models so players have some real choice - not just two skinny girls - one with ridiculously massive and unrealistic boobs and one with a practically flat chest. Some basic body/face editing capability would be nice, but we know that's a lot of work, so just a few more choices would be good. 3 more should do it. I mean, at this point, porting the models and scenes from the previous games would be enough.

Perhaps a little more work could be done to the "buddy" - maybe some sort of 3rd/1st person view toggle if that's doable (not just the shaky "penis cam"), and a model that has arms and a head, plus an actual body, rather than a floating jeans and a t-shirt on legs that move really awkwardly.

Come on, devs, people are feeling a little left behind here. It's a bit rude.

Currently i wouldn't hope on much after more then 1,5 Years without any real news or even evidence that the Project is alive.
I had often said to xpadmin via PN that this Project need more PR to the community.
That means simple every 2-4 Weeks a little Project Status and Screenshots.
If the Content was good enough then a simple Video too.

But after more then a year without Information/News/Content i slowed down my visit frequence.
If there will be Information or Content then i'm fine with it.

But the current State is unknown and nobody can confirm, that the Project is alive.
There is no Evidence like a Status report, Pics or Videos or anything that can confirm any Progress or curent State.
And the Words from xpadmin only is nothing i would trust after that long time and the ignorance over the whole Thread :/
There was enough Time to give a Status Report, Pics or a simple Ingame Video, so my current Trust Level is very Low.

I am on the brink of disabling my account and forget this game altogether. I had hopes until now but as said before, the lack of ANY update or intel on the progress of version 4.0 is really making the game seem dead, so let's simply bury it.

A good gaming computer will run VR fine. I'm running a liquid cooled ASUS Formula VIII with 16 GB 3600Mhz ram, Fury X video, 6700K proc. on a 500 GB SSD and 4 TB HDD with no OC'ing off of a 1000 watt power supply and using an HTC Vive. If you're not sure if your comp will run VR, Steam has a VR performance test to see if your system will do well or not.
