while a forum is a nice place to develop ideas, it is easy to lose the grasp on all the ideas for improvements and additions and how many people endorse which features. Polls are a nice play toy, but results can never scientifically be compared to each other.

There are some free and open web-based bug trackers available that might be better for this job. While I do not know the specifics of the MPL, Bugzilla (Perl + *sql) might be not a bad idea. Bug reports and feature requests can be filed separately. This might be a modern way to handle feature requests and have an overview over endorsements and process.
