I will download Version 3.5 and the Player crash.

Got the same deal,

tried to re download, no dice. still won't start

same as well tried re-downloading and installing but still the same version mismatch error

figured it out... download and reinstall account manager, back up everything in the download folder before you do so, then download and install 3.5

Hi,
Before all, thanks for this game and the current 3.5 release.
But i have to report the same problem with "ERROR: Version mismatch"
I run on win7 x64, i made the win update just in case but still have the problem.
I tried to run the v3.0 again and have this Version mismatch issue... so i reinstall everything, v3.0 work again but v3.5 still don't.

When you have the version mismatch error that is caused by the DRM.

Please check the following things:

1) Did you install XStoryPlayer on the same machine as you downloaded it on?
2) Make sure you keep your internet adapter enabled. XStoryPlayer does not use it, but it needs to check if the ethernet card is still present.
3) Make sure you enable XStoryPlayer in Avast! This virus scanner has (too) strict rules regarding software that is downloaded.

We cannot reproduce the issue ourselves so we need people that will help us test and fix it.
So please make a support ticket saying: "I want to help find the version mismatch error."
And provide the correct email that you used on purchase.

I'm getting the version mismatch as well. I uninstalled everything, including the account manager, but I still get it.

redownload account manager and run it.

You have to re download account manager, you cannot reinstall from the same file. Go to the page to get it.
