ok, so. if downloaded the Hal patch and installed it, game runs but crashes after i choose a girl (works fine in normal dungeon or story).

then, re downloaded fresh installs for 3.5 and all the patches, uninstalled everything and re installed. now the game doesnt even start and it hangs my windows explorer

im using 64 bit with windows 10.

i will uninstall everything again and just install 3.5 and the patches and see if it will work without the Hal patch.

any other ideas??

@chaos

Please select render mode OpenGl or DirectX 9 in the settings.ini file. That will most likely solve this.

Have the same problem then chaos.
Choosing opengl in settings.ini doesnt solve problem.
Choosing DIRECTX 9 does not work,generates error in trace.txt unknown rendering method or something like that.

@Adenan

Please make sure you set the render mode to DIRECTX9 or OPENGL (caps and no spaces).

Quick question, I opened my account manager to download this pack just now and it said "installed" already. I clicked redownload because i know for a fact i didn't install this or download it yet. Should i be concerned that someone has my account details?
To be safe i changed all my email passwords, but i figured i'd mention it here as well in case it isn't a bug with my account manager.

for those of you having crash issues here's something i noticed that fixed my crash. Checked my trace file and noticed a line that said something about the sdress.dat from the summer dress plugin not loading right. opened the summer dress in my plugin files and noticed that there was no Sdress.dat, just a dress.dat. So i made a copy of that and named that Sdress.dat and then the Halloween pack loaded fine after that. Not too sure what caused that, i have alot of older plugins in there, maybe the newer version of the plugins have that name for the dat file but my plugin folder is a mishmash of all them so far. Probably needs a going over to make sure i have the latest copies of everything.

EDIT: also i'm in DX11 mode and it does work. all depends on your specs i guess. I use windows 7 64 bit. I guess for 10 you can't use dx11 yet.

@Nautica

The settings that you see in the account-manager are local for your machine. So there is no need to be afraid someone is using your account.

Installing Halloween pack can best done as follows:

1)
- Check if Version 3.5 (complete install) can be downloaded. This should be done if the button says [Redownload selected product]
- Download it, and then press [Install selected product] or [Reinstall selected product]

2)
- Then download Halloween pack and install (or reinstall) it.

That should work

@chaos

A settings.ini file with these lines in it, should be enough to start in another render mode:

Code:
display
{
  rendermode = DIRECTX9;
}
