i can't believe you actually programmed that sleep sequence to repeat until the game clock advanced from Monday night until Tuesday morning. i let the game run for about an hour before it occurred to me to go out to the city screen and advance the clock manually. i realize the characters probably needed a full night of sleep, but that was a bit of reality overkill. a couple of flashes of the sleep bubble and a message to the effect that you wake up after a full night's sleep would really have been more appropriate (imho).

Yeah, or just a big button on the screen that says SLEEP till you wake up that advances time. The exit to city screen to advance time is inelegant in gameplay.

In retrospect i really love the sleeping "puzzle".
I left the game running for at least 10 minutes until i got frustrated, thinking it must be a bug.
I didnt tried to go to the city screen, because i thought "well, i am sleeping, so i cant go anywhere, right?".
So i went to the forums where i read about it, then i was laughing about how dumb i was.
Be it intentional or not, it was really funny in the end. Brilliant :-D

Sorry about this, but am i the only one who thought this whole thing was a waiting game. I literally got bored. I mean when you finish the adolescent scene, the sleeping is so long you only need two sets of zzz... zzzz... s. Sorry but having you wait that long i literally downloaded the savepoint because i got so bored.

I agree, it is a waiting game. While waiting for saiko to show up in the basement, before the whole "zzzzz" sequence, I waited about five minutes, got bored and cooked a meal then came back and I saw her enter the room as I was coming back. I believe there is more "playtime" spent waiting than actually playing. After playing the demo a while back, the time spent waiting was the only thing that prevented me from buying 2.0 version. I figured the issue was solved for 3.5 as I didn't see anything about it on the forums so I figured I'd buy it. This surprise tastes bitter.
Even though I love what's being done here, I do not think I'll be upgrading to 4.0 unless this issue is resolved as Story Mode is the most fun part for me.

You can jump time on the city map so dont get the problem, if you know at 20.00 it happens jump to that time.
