Have you updated the game with Account Manager?

So is 3.5 the only version that works with the vive/index at the moment or is there a way to play 2.1 in vr?

Should work without any problem with steam.

Just to report: XSP with Pimax 5k+ also works with SteamVR (Need to enable parallel projections in Pitool and choose the right FOV, small or medium I think)

You mean Steam VR? I started steam VR, then started xstoryplayer 3.5 and I can see the screen if I use the desktop in SteamVR, but how do I get the immersive functionality? The in game menu doesn't detect the rift s as a rift, sos I assume it's only for the original rift... Please help.

You go in to settings in Xstory there you will have a tab for vr, start game-settings in game-vr.

Ok I've replied twice and they aren't showing up now, so I won't requote and am just making a new reply. Wanted to say thank you, we're making progress. The key was to download the oculus patch with the account manager. Even though the base game has a settings tab for the rift, it doesn't detect the rift s. Once you download and install the oculus patch it changes to a vr tab and detects the rift s. You get the full immersion, but the controllers do not work. That's as far as I have gotten. How do I get the controllers to work?
